Support for Legalisation

As a company, we believe that the prohibition of cannabis represents one of the most expensive and unnecessary public policy failures in living memory.

We will continue to lobby local, state and federal governments for positive changes to current laws and the development of a sustainable and inclusive recreational industry that is not dominated by big business interests.

Support for standards

We support the creation of a certification board to classify the different tiers of cannabis on market.

The lack of strict definition when it comes to cannabis quality has resulted in false advertisement becoming prevalent. We support the creation of a Craft Certification Board to be able to specify Craft products as being produced entirely without the use of automated processes and exclusively in small batch environments.

Support for Staff

We believe that the best growers are ones that are treated with respect and love their job.

This means respect for their efforts, respect for their time and above all respect for their dedication. That is why we as a company commit to paying above market rates for operational staff, keeping corporate payrates low to keep money where it is needed, and taking quarterly breaks so that we can blow off some steam and enjoy each others company outside the work environment.

Support for Small business

Forbidden Harvest is a small, grass roots company that supports the growth of more small cannabis producers.

We believe that the corporatisation of the cannabis industry is a tragedy. For an industry that we can be proud of to thrive, we need small passionate businesses who are more focussed on quality and building a sustainable industry than profit. We support the idea of micro-grow licenses and the facilitation of growth for small business in the sector.

Our view of the future...

We see a future for the Australian cannabis industry that we can be proud to be a part of.

We envisage a movement away from vertically integrated models and toward small scale production being lead by passionate industry advocates who are in it for the love of the industry - not dollar signs.

We hope to see patients able to grow their own medicines with genetics being provided to them by way of clone to help them reduce costs.

We see the growing support for legalisation amongst Australia's public and recognition that the war on cannabis needs to end...which gives us hope that one day soon - common sense will prevail.
